Mandira Bedi disappoints us

Mandira was at the Retail Forum awards in this ugghhh satin gown. You completely missed us. Given that Mandira is in fab shape how we would have love to see her in high waist trousers/skirt with a crisp white shirt and a fitted blazer.

This one was so out of place at the business awards

Harpers Bazaar October 10

Ok so the October issue i sthe BIG FAT issue for most magazines. So you will have absolute eye candies on the cover this month.

Here is the Harpers Bazaar issue with Katrina looking fab in a subtle & pretty Dior dress. Truly love it!
Psst... Katrina is a safe bet for them considering she was also on their March Anniversary cover with Hritik.

Watch this space for Vogue Oct cover with Cindy Crawford & 500 pages of treat

Cosmo also with their anniv issue

Marie Calire with Deepika for their Bridal anniv issue

Katrina Kaif in Dior for October 2010

Katrina & Hritik in March 2010 for the 1st anniversary issue

Sonakshi in Ferragamo

Sonakshi was at teh My Ferragamo launch in Mumbai. Love the simple red dress with a crossbody but damn love those shoes. Yes its on my LUST LIST for a while.

But what do we do with that ugghhh lipstick that she always choses and the hair. There's something very Indian about Sonakshi which just blocks anything western for her. And that forehead which just doesn't end.

Aishwariya & Abhishekh at the 40th anniversary bash

Ash & Abhishekh are making most of their stay in Milan & hobnobbing with all of Hollywood(Heidi Klum, Naomi Cambell, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Carolina Kurkova, Janet Jackson and many more). This time around they were at The Roberto Cavalli 40th anniversary bash.

Ash looked lovely in this silver gown with the contrast blue clutch. I would have not chosen the blue for sure.

Do we like the mermaid gown not much but Ash sure carried it off well.

Waisted & Waist Coat

So one of them is we love and the other is hate, totally. I think reading the last couple of posts you've guessed who we hate and who we love. So priyanka is on our hit list. Ya we didn't have one until her last few appearances where she's getting only flak and making us sound mean. So shes completely waisted in this ughhhh dress that she wore for the promotions of Anjaana Anjaani at KC College.

Ranbir on the other hand looked so cute in this waist coat on his birthday. I'm beginning to like his I work only attitude. Absolutely love him

TREND ALERT: Animal print

Yes finally Bombay had no events planned for last night courtesy the SC verdict and everybody playing it safe. So it gives me some time to post a trend alert.

Everybody is wearing animal prints but some get it all wrong as well. So here is how you should.

If you are going for an all over print like how Malaika did for the Dabangg premiere then keep everything else simple & minimal & ofcourse solid.
Choose a top like Twinkle & Kareena did if you like it on the clothing. Sushmita sen on the other hand loves animal prints and we've seen her do it right and wrong a lot of times.

Ofcourse I am not a big fan of this at all so I would rather choose only the accessories with the animal print

Keep it simple and just as an accent dont go for an all over if its your first time

Bips repeats From Aza to Koels couch

Don't think it was running from one event to a shoot so don't know if I must give her the benefit of doubt.

Bipasha was wearing the same dress at the Aza Collection Launch hosted by Rocky S

She wore the same dress with the same hair do

Aishwariya at Giorgio Armani Spring 11 Show in Milan

Aishwariya & Abhishekh were at the designers show in Milan wearing his creation. While I like the choice of blazer & trousers over a dress. How I wish it weren't velvet and had a little more structure & fit to it.

No its a no from us.

Adding colour to the GQ men of the year awards

Hey just when I thought that all the colour from the awards was missing. Ya why did all the celebs decide to where only black? I know its a red carpet event and you cant go wrong with black but guys common these days its all about experimenting, right!

Simone wore this teal jumpsuit looking fab, sans the jacket

Anusha the host for the evening in Falguni & Shane Peacock.

Nandita Mahtani in her own creation in a blue dress one shoulder dress with embellishments.

Nandita Mahtani

My favourite at GQ men of the year awards

Ya he was my favourite. Ok don't be surprised but ya its a he. It was none other than Abhay Deol. The cute, sexy and intelligent actor...how much I loved him in Dev D, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. Ok sorry enough eye candy. So mr Deol was at the awards with his girlfried who I dont know why was wearing this dress I think I saw Lisa Haydon wear before

Parmeshwar Godrej from Bad to worse

You know when I joined the fashion industry a few years ago, I had the whose who of the fashion fraternity working with me and I wondered wow to be a stylish and look good takes a lot... a lot of money. I obviously had my own individual style that makes it very distinctly me but I know that money can only make it better for you. But some how I felt that all the money in the world can never by you taste. You could be wearing a simple white tee and denims but you can look so good in them leaving behind which brand denims those are.

Ofcourse trends and change in fashion is important and they will come and go but taste is something you possess.

Clearly Parmeshwar Godrej doesn't possess it. She may wear the best brands in the world but continues to dress distatstefully.

Sorry for getting all nostalgic but it was the birth of Smitten and couldn't resist it.

Abi - Ash at the GQ men of the Year award 2010

Why did Ash do this to herself? She truly does hav ethe potential to do better than this. We like playful shoulders but the hair was all wrong. You cant for god sake have a one shouldered gown and have your hair also come down on the same side.

Dont fancy the colour either. Abi on the hand looked dapper with the suit.

Couple in Black

A couple who swears by black is Arjun & Mehr Jessia. Both looked absolutely gorgeous together in black. Love the slit dress on mehr thats so true to her style Ya actually she prefers fluid stuff more than body con, doesn't she.

Grecian god & Goddess!

Losing the plot: Priyanka Chopra

I wonder why this girl who once had great taste if you remebre how gorgeous she looked in Dostana & Fashion has completely lost the plot. She cant get over her minis though in these awards she gave thema miss thank god for that. Her hair seem to be all over the place with those extensions making us feel ugghhh! Make up please please kohl eyes dont always make a look perfect. And truly nobody does the eyes better than Kareena & Mickey contractor!

So she was at The GQ men of the year awards and should we saythat we hate that slit gown absolutely. how we wish for some colour on her. Ya its me saying no nude, strange na but this just ain't working for her.

Just hope Manish has worked his magic on her for Anjana Anjaani and we have no more complaints from PiggyChops

On the prowl

We know that animal prints are huge and we love them too but not like this. What did quennie think when she wore this.

When I first saw the face I really thought she was in a fancy dress competition with those rouged cheeks and hideous make up. When you look down it confirms it.

Queenie was at the GQ men of the year awards with Farhad

LFW 10: Accessories by Suhani Pittie

Suhani's collection had everything from amalgamated beads, shells, stones, metal, studs, tassels staying true to her theme called “Free Religion”

Very ornate and gypsyesque the designs were truly creative and creating a statement.

From bib necklaces to long necklaces she had it all. My favourite piece is teh gold chain with mother pf pearl moon crescents.

The collection went ahead with cheed chokers, plated cuffs, brooches, meshes with turquoise and coral inlaid pieces, an amazing neck piece of multiple cuffs and studded temple piece with crescents and pearls worn with plated cuff.

Even though I loved her collection I thought her Spring 10 collection was truly outstanding. View it on her website at http://www.suhanipittie.com/ss09/index.html
