Style vs. Fashion Part 2

Sometimes I wonder how difficult is it to be a celeb...whey its tough. Most fashion critics judge you by the trend that you wear vs. how you carry it.

But smitten believes in style and not merely trends. Someone keeping it simple being off trend but yet in style is what we like. Here are a few examples from my favourites. They are always well dressed keeping it casual, classic or all glammed up.

STUPID OR BRAVE

Wonder this season whats with smart phrases on fashion campaigns this season. Diesel has just launched its new Spring Summer campaign "Be Stupid". Have to admit its quite cool. They also have a video that you got to see on www.diesel.com.

Here are a few lines that caught my attention.

Taking it one step forward is Brit fashion brand FRENCH CONNECTION. Not only with the slogans but a new face. The Man who is repulsive at first but so interesting once you know him. Watch his videos on www.frenchconnection.com. But here are his pictures only for you.

P.S. I loveeeeeeeeeeeee the woman

FRENCH CONNECTION NORTH STAR DRESS

CELEBS SPORTING IT

Love it on the TWILIGHT STAR Ashley Greene who always gives us sassy style picks, and from the looks of it, she ain't slowing down. Its smarter than the usual cleavage/ If her lattice detail is too much for your taste, opt for simpler cross backs.

Don't like the trend on Rhianna though

Check Mate Lady

Its a staple for the men, but for the women it can be relaxed or formal. Its comfortable and yet makes a statement you cant help but notice.

A mix of checks, squares and diamonds made for some seriously geometric looks on this year's catwalks. Bold bright plaids, tartans and checks are hot right now.

Love the look on Ms. Khanna. Do you?

Smitten for in Summer 10

Smitten brings you fashion specials you must have this season. And of course as always its simplified...

1.Purple: Stock your wardrobe with all that’s purple and similar to make a statement.

2.Florals: it’s a summer staple, go from ditsy to bold…with summer in its never too loud

3.Bare shoulders: Beat the heat as you bare the shoulder either one or both

4.Sparkle & Shine: Sizzle in the summer sun with sequins. You choose big or small coz they are both favourites for the season

5.Mini: Get it short and be leggy. I think nobody does this better than Priyanka Chopra & Dia Mirza

6.Ruffle it up! Tiers of feminine ruffles continue to be a hot trend. Whether you wear them outrageously oversized or soft and subtle, ruffles will add a flouncy feminine touch to your look this season. Fit Tip: ruffles add volume, so make sure yours are strategically placed and avoid any area of your figure that you don't want to emphasize.

7.Nude: Shades of beige and flesh-toned nudes were a signature look on the spring runways.

8.Stripes: This season's multitude of bold sailor stripes will have you dreaming of the French Riviera and classic Coco Chanel style. Go all out with head to toe pattern mixing or opt for just a touch of this updated classic with a striped tee or sweater.

9.Pop Colors: From bold brights to shocking neon, color is big this season. Whether you're brave enough to go head-to-toe bright or prefer to mix colorful pieces with light neutrals and darks

10.Black and White: The crisp contrast of this classic combination is always in style, though designers this season were especially enamored with black and white pairings. Wear your black and white head to toe or mix in some of this season's brights for a beautifully modern look.

11. Fluid Pants - soft silhouettes, including long slouchy trousers and fluid cropped cuts, are replacing structured menswear-inspired styles.

12. Aquatic Blues - various shade of pool colors, from turquoise to azure, to wear together or with neutrals.

13. '80s Influences - distressed jeans, jumpsuits, boyfriend blazers and more (read our trend spotlight: '80s Revival).

14. Cage Heels
- multiple straps are the hot new heel must-have.

15. Statement Jewelry - from oversized earrings to large bib necklaces, jewelry is taking center stage. Be sure to wear only one large piece at a time, though!
