CK ONE: The new CK I love

Got to confess I am so not a denim person but ads do work on me. I am not an ardent fan of denims and CK but this campaign just has so much of fun and energy infused in it that yes denim doesn't seem to be such a bore after all.

Madhuri Dixit & Sonakshi Sinha on Koffee with Karan

Why do I love Madhuri so much that even after her bad dressing on Jhalak she looks like a diva. You know that I am a star aura that she exudes so effortlessly without the arrogance ofcourse.
Though her appearance of KWK thought she looks awesome. Seems very evidently a Manish Malhotra outfit. I like her and yes I am dying to see this episode

Sonakshi on the other hand looks nice and I like the simple saree with this embroidered blouse. I think she knows her strengths and plays it up well. the side swept hair though remind me only of Rani. Ya don't know why.

KAREENA KAPOOR, STARDUST UNVEIL

Am not impressed with this red hot look at all. So much of red is just so not me. Also thought the drapes were a bit too much. The bustier all wrong with it looking a little flabby near the under arms. You know what I'm saying.

Why am I so surprised to see Kareena do Airport Fashion so well. Usually her style while traveling is more relaxed and this one therefore seems to be a miss.

French Connections very Parisian Campaign for Spring 11

Old streets of Paris, dilapidated buildings, clear blue seas, old village, street side cafes that's the imagery this campaign evokes.

The campaign images evoke a very summery feel showcasing fashion that's very livable & fabrics that breathe.

Couldn't care much about the man or think he doesn't care much about us and that's the irreverence that makes the brand so desirable.

MYTH BUSTED: MIX & MATCH PRINTS

The inspiration behind this post is Kangana's appearance at Tanu weds Manu screening & Shahzaan Padamzee at the Gianti store appearance who both wore this trend so effortlessly.

So you thought you could not wear two prints together or it was a big faux pas. Think again actually heres why its so not and infact is the the thing to follow. However its a tough one so only if you are bold enough try it.

Tips:

# Either try the same print in different colours like Rihanna
# Take the same colour and try two different prints
# You can get fancy, and choose different variations of said print, such as big (leopard spots, polka-dots, plaids, you name it) and small.
# Many people consider leopard print to be neutral. Leopard print, a hot trend for fall, is an easy print to work with.
# Use patterned accessories. Try rocking a printed belt or scarf with a patterned top or dress.
# Stripes plus florals equals love. This tried and true combination is easy to work into an outfit – it’s the perfect combo to try if you’re unsure about this look.
# Be confident! This trend isn’t for the timid. Wear your outfit with some attitude, and everyone will admire your fearless fashion sense.

Spring 11 Make up Trends

Ok so lots of emails and what should be the make up trends this season. There are lots of influences of what we see on apparel thats rubbing off on the skin as well.

1. Bold lips: Go really bright with the lips. Orange, Pink or red.Go bold on those lips but keep every thing else neutral. Only th elips should be the focal point.

2. Nude make up: Very dewy, light and muted making the skin look translucent. Here accentuate the cheek bones with earthy blush.

3. Neon eyes: Pop colours on the eyelids are also inpsired from all your colour blocking this season. Paint all of your lid with a solid and let the eyes do all the talking

4. Smokey eyes: This one is here to stay. Just change the intensity basis day or night.

5. Line the top lid only: This one is a fav with Deepika, Priyanka & Taylor Swift. When you dont want to do your eyes but don't wanna be all deglammed as well. This is what you could probably get away with.
