TREND ALERT: CROPPED PANTS

While all the sales are on ladies please stock up on Cropped Pants. Its here to stay.

We've seen Sonam do it and do it multiple times and now we see Anushka Sharma do it for the music launch of Patiala House.

Anushka does dress well and very casually yet chic. I like the bling pairing with the muted pants. Just wish they were a little better fitted.

Every once in a while a trend pops up that requires a true understanding of the construction of the item in order to pull it off properly. This season and a few more to stay is the tapered, pleated trouser also called the peg leg pant (or the old school terms harem pant or chinos). We embraced tapered jeans, and now trousers. This is a trend worth trying if you’re up for the challenge.

Peg leg trousers are characterized by their cropped leg, that falls right above the ankle. The volume on these pants are at the top and enhanced this season with pleats.

Tall & Slim, Rectangles, Hourglass figures, and long waist body types can pull off this trend without much effort. For busty figures, inverted triangles, and short waists have the most difficulty. Don’t let your body type steer you away from this trend. With a few tips, you can pull this off successfully.

Busty Figures or Inverted Triangle Shapes Combined with a Short Waist:

When working with a complex trend, you have to get creative when it comes to sporting the peg leg trouser look. The tapered legs enhance triangles, and can often create imbalance for busty girls. However, there are ways to wear this look and not look as if you’re going to topple over.

1. Chose a pair with a pleated or ballooned waist/ hip. The added volume near the hips will give an hour glass figure.
2. Pair the pants with a darker top and lift breasts as much as possible with a supportive bra.
3. Lastly, wear a chunkier heel. For busty figures combined with short waists, heels work great with these pants.
4. Many of the cropped pants on the racks, sport a high waist, with a ballooned hip; which works great on long torsos, but can make short waists vanish. The key is to find a pair that does not have a high waist, and that balloons out a little lower than normal. Because your waist is short, wearing mid rise pants on your natural waist will automatically give you the high waist look. Be sure to leave space between the top of the pants and your breasts.
5. Wear monochromatic color schemes when wearing tapered pants. This creates a vertical appearance allowing a distraction from the short waist.

This was a delight to see this morning. A lehenga thats just right and not so OTT.
Soha does look lovely and looking at the collection I am definitely tempted to check out the complete collection.
This is what the paper read in the morning ELEGANCE PERSONIFIED: Actress Soha Ali Khan models Maheka Mirpuri's creation from her new line for the contemporary bride which has unusual colors and intricate detailing. The designer has used shades of rose, plum, peach, lime and marigold, while long, voluminous and flowy silhouettes in paneled French chiffons make the bride look dreamy and surreal. The collection is dedicated to the woman of today. “My collection is for the young bride who has loads of attitude and wears her best smile — she should feel like a Goddess!” says Maheka.

I wish I had the the money

Ya so its normal to wish that if I had all the money that these celebs do then ho would I spend it, right. Ya its normal trust me.Especially if you love fashion just like I do then you will wonder why

So while everybody's talking about the Imran Avantika wedding and Kiran & Reena cordial relationship I wonder why and how could one dress so sloppily.

Kiran usually is quite edgy with her fashion but this time around she does make me feel like dude I wish I had the money. She is wearing designer Ananad Kabras sari but so what. Actually so does Avantika. I mean congratulations you are the bride and we should be sweet to you but we love fashion so sorry. It was a great and safe move to move away from Shantanu & Nikhil who made her look fat & undesirable from her engagement to Manish Malhotra where you may not look wow but you look great & pretty.

The lehenga at the sangeet was so fab and so was the jewelery how we wish she would have just carried it with a little more style & poise.

Let me know if you guys get these feelings, I know its a yes.

There is just something about this woman that really gets not only the women but even the women weak in their knees. She is classy, sophisticated, hot and earthy.

Her fashion, style, make up is just so casual yet so classic that it really makes me say Effortlessly stylish.

She may have done fashion blunders but still manages to look so good with them. Specially love the way she does her make up.

She is Chitrangadha Singh.

Women and the weight loss Tamasha - Rujuta Divekar

Ok so all those who wore those loose clothes until you decided this is it and I want to wear all that I see on all the fashion websites and all those celebrities whom I constantly admire.

I discovered Rujutas book when I was not so fat but wanted to gain myself back. I always wondered how do you become thin. I had never been fat and for me to believe that now I need to lose wt and get myself back was a big deal.

I picked up Dont lose your mind lose your weight and think finished it in exactly 48 hours. Ya imagine totally glued on the wt loss pravachan. Read it and one of the few ones who believed and followed it religiously and yes I was 20 kgs lighter. I follow it till date. I fit into all my old jeans, tops, dresses and boy it feels good.

Yes I admire Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty and of late Karisma Kapoor. She's lost so much weight:(

Ya I am totally smitten by Bollywood if you don't know that already. I did recommend Rujutas book to everyone. I love her principles and totally follow it. I am the most disciplined person I know and am truly proud of it.

However Wt loss Tamasha the second book disappointed me a little because it didn't give me as much... but that's true of sequels right. However the quest to look good and invest in vanity continues. I now want to lose 5 kilos more and shop for new clothes again. Dam the sales are going on now.

Ok so here is my first blog of the year and must I say that I love blogging and this one broke the procastination I was going through because I had to share this beautiful ad with all the ladies who love fashion, beauty and believe that cosmetics does transform us.
